How to Make "Impress Your Guests" Garlic Chicken Stir - Fry
- Begin by Prepping veggies. Cut onions into wedges, chop bottoms (white part/discard the roots) of green onions, cut stems (green part) into 3 in strips, drain water chestnuts, mince garlic (set aside seperate), clean broccoli & snow peas (if using frozen, take out and allow to thaw). Put to the side.
- Heat Wok or Large frying pan on Med/High heat. Add the 1 Tblsp of COOKING oil, then add your garlic and sautee for about 30 seconds (dont scorch or overcook the garlic or it will become Bitter!) Add your fresh chicken and sprinkle with onion powder salt & pepper. Continue Sauteeing till cooked through and a little golden. This is a good time to start your rice...in a seperate pan, start boiling your water, add salt & butter and Prepare rice according to pkg directions for 2 cups dry rice.
- Now remove the chiken from the pan and put aside, add 1 tbsp Cooking oil to the pan and add red onions, broccoli, green onions, waterchestnuts & Snow peas. Sautee over med/high heat till tender-crisp. Add chicken back to pan and gently toss to combine. Now add sauce mixture and stir, sauce will thicken, add small amounts of stock as needed for desired consistency (*Add the "Flavor Boost" packet a little at a time, it's VERY strong, but adds Great flavor! A Little goes a Long way*)
- You can use Any white rice, but for an outstanding dish, I recommend Jasmine Rice for it's sweet flavor and Fragrant aroma :) After rice finishes steaming, fill serving bowl with hot rice and pour stir-fry over the top..salt & pepper & even add fried wonton skins if you like...Now Enjoy this Delicious dish AND the "Oooohs & Awwws" from your guests!
