- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon soul food seasoning
- 22 - twists of kickin chicken seasoning (comes with a mill attached)
- 2 tablespoons jar minced garlic
How To Make honey cajun chicken in a crock pot
-
Step 1Create the sauce by adding together the spices with the honey and stir well
-
Step 2Lay the chicken flat skin side up or without the skin and put 1/2 of mixture on the chicken.
-
Step 3Start crock pot on high for 4 1/2 hours.
-
Step 4If yours has skin on then when you are almost ready to eat take it from crock pot and place on a baking dish covered with aluminum foil for easy cleanup and put remaining honey over chicken. low broil until skin is starting to crisp. serve
-
Step 5It looked great coming from the crock pot but the skin was soggy if you used the skin on meat. The pieces fell into legs and thighs as I tried to take it out in whole pieces. fell apart on your plates no knife required. this time i used skinless.
-
Step 6I made white rice and made gravy from the liquid from the crock pot plus 1/2 cup water and 1 large heaping tablespoon of corn starch. We served that over the rice.
