Homemade chick -n- dumplings!
My son in law especially loves this recipe and I try to prepare a large pot at every visit or special occasion whether its a birthday party, ball game or just plain getting together time.
A great favorite in our home~
8 Tbspcold milk
2 cself rising flour
1/2 tspsea salt
SEASONS AS YOU LIKE (PEPPER)
1whole cooked and cut up chicken
1 can(s)cream of mushroom soup
1 jar(s)mushroom (optional)
How to Make Homemade chick -n- dumplings!
- mix flour, egg, milk and salt until it become doughlike in substance, place on floured surface and roll with wooden rolling pin to about 1/4" thickness. Cut into long strips lengthwise, then cut diagnally to resemeble diamond like shapes. my little one likes to create a few homemade ones at the same time.... allow to stand 2-3 hours, turing halfway through the drying process.
