herb chicken with tortellini

I found this recipe on a bag of frozen chicken tenderloins. We had it for dinner last night. It was EASY to make and was a big hit! Served along side a tossed saldad and some garlic bread...Yummy. Try it...you'll like it!

Ingredients
- 4 cups uncooked sliced chicken breast ( or you could use other parts)
- 1/2 cup sour cream ( use light if you are watching fat intake)
- 1/4 cup fresh chopped basil ( make sure you use fresh)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1 small red bell pepper ( cut in strips)
- 1/3 cup toasted walnuts
- 1 package frozen tortellini prepared to pkg directions
How To Make herb chicken with tortellini

Step 1In a small bowl mix together sour cream, basil oregano, salt and cayenne pepper, set aside

Step 2In fry pan place oil and heat to med/high. Add chicken and saute about 5 minutes

Step 3Stir in garlic and red pepper ( I added sliced mushrooms and I suppose you could add peas, broccoli?)

Step 4Saute, stirring 2 minutes. Reduce heat to low, stir in sour cream mixture and heat thoroughly about 2 minutes.

Step 5Place cooked tortellini on a serving dish and top with chicken mixture. Sprinkle with walnuts and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
