This is a WONDERFUL recipe! We have these at every major holiday. They are so yummy!!!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds frozen hash browns
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cups grated sharp american cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup

How To Make hashbrowns au gratin

  • Step 1
    Thaw Potatoes
  • Step 2
    In a large mixing bowl, add Thawed Potatoes, add salt, pepper, onion, and cheese. Mix together
  • Step 3
    Melt butter, add sour cream and soup. It will make a nice creamy mix.
  • Step 4
    Pour cream mix over potatoe mixture. Mix well. I find that it is much easier to mix using my hands than using a big spoon.
  • Step 5
    Put in a 3-quart buttered casserole dish
  • Step 6
    Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes
