Greek chicken is one of my all time favorite meals. This one is very close to the Greek Chicken made in Greek restaurants throughout the world. It's a classic that everyone should know how to make. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 4-6 - chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice & zest (if you wish)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, dried
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried

How To Make greek chicken

  • Step 1
    Cut each chicken breast into half, or you can leave them whole if you wish.
  • Step 2
    Place the chicken into a rectangular oven dish.
  • Step 3
    In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, lemon juice & zest, salt, pepper, thyme and oregano.
  • Step 4
    Pour the mixture over chicken.
  • Step 5
    Cover with aluminum foil.
  • Step 6
    Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour. Check chicken often to make sure it is done.
  • Step 7
    This is best served with rice and/or oven potatoes and some pieces of feta cheese on the side.
