I should call this payday soup. Just a day from payday and I needed to make dinner. I grabbed these ingredients from my pantry and freezer. My husband and kids loved it! I don't know if I'll wait 'til the day before payday to make it again, though!

Stove Top


  • 1 qt
    chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 large
    can creamy tomato basil soup
  • 1 small
    can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 2 c
    chopped, cooked chicken
  • 1 Tbsp
    italian seasoning blend
  • 1 tsp
    garlic and herb seasoning
  • dash(es)
  • ·
    grated parmesan cheese, optional
  • 1 box
    whole wheat gnocchi

How to Make Gnocchi Soup


  1. Except for gnocchi, combine all ingredients in a large pot. Bring just to a boil.
  2. Add gnocchi and boil for two minutes, or cook as directed on package.
  3. Top with parmesan as desired.
