Saw some great deals on fruit this week so I decided to make this fruit bowl for my family- to eat as they wish or to add it as a side along with a tuna sandwich, turkey burger, or ice cream....etc. Very refreshing and colorful.

Ingredients For fresh fruit bowl

  • 1/2 sm
    personal size seedless watermelon, rind removed and melon cut into bite size
  • 1/2 sm
    muskmelon(orange in color), rind removed and cut into bite size
  • 3 md
    peaches, pitted and cut into bite size
  • 1 c
    green sweet grapes,leave whole
  • 1 c
    sweet black cherries, pitted, cut in 1/2
  • 1 Tbsp
    granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    orange juice

How To Make fresh fruit bowl

    Slice the 1/2 melons into small slices and remove seeds and rind. Cut cherries in 1/2 and remove pits. Cut peaches in 1/2 and remove pits. Slice and cut into bite size pieces into a small bowl , combine peaches with the juice and sugar and stir to coat evenly;set aside.

    Layer pieces of each fruit into a large bowl. You may add other fruits also if desired; such as apple slices added to the peach mixture before adding to fruit bowl. Add strawberries or kiwi,pieces.

    Chill, keeping ice cold and serving alone or with your favorite sandwich or dinner as a side dish or dessert with a scoop of ice cream or sherbet.
