Ingredients

  • 5 quarts water
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 large green pepper diced or sliced up
  • 1 large onion yellow dice or sliced up
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons parsley
  • 5 sticks carrots, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 bunch celery tops add some of the stalk too sliced or dice up
  • 1 large chicken parts use - back, neck wings & giblets

How To Make fran's chicken soup

  • Step 1
    Slice up Onion, Pepper, & Chicken parts ( not the giblets they will be removed later) Put everything into a large soup pot, cover with water. Cook for one hour. Strain & serve with cooked thin noodles or rice.
