Like chicken... You'll LOVE this one... RED HOT is GOOD EATS!!!! The chicken is done the day before and sets in the fridge over night, and cooked quickly in a HOT Oven and served with a nice green Salad

  • 4 to 5 lb
    roasting chicken cut into 8 pieces
  • the juice of 2 large lemons
  • 3
    garlic cloves crushed
  • 2/3 c
    plain low fat yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 tsp
    ground turmeric
  • 2 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 tsp
    grated fresh ginger or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 tsp
    garam masala
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    cayenne pepper

    Remove all the skin from the chicken and cut 3 slices into each piece Place all the chicken pieces in a baking dish in one layer Pour the lemon juice over all the chicken

    Combine the remaining ingredients together and pour over all the chicken pieces and turn to coat all sides thoroughly

    Cover with plastic wrap tightly and chill over night

    Day of event Preheat oven to 425 degrees Remove chicken from marinade and arrange in a single layer on baking sheet Bake for 15 minutes, turn over and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until tender
