easy pot pie
My family thoroughly enjoyed this for dinner. I love the fact that the crust in made with whole wheat flour and that there are no canned soups in the filling. I got this recipe from Graham Family Ministries website.

Ingredients
- FILLING
- 2 tablespoons dry minced onion
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour ( i use freshly ground)
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups milk
- 2-3 cups cooked, chopped chicken
- 1 pound frozen mixed vegetables(peas, carrots & corn)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- CRUST
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour ( i used freshly ground)
- 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup butter melted
How To Make easy pot pie

Step 1Saute the flour, onion & garlic powder in some olive oil or butter for a few minutes.

Step 2Gradually stir in the milk & broth using a whisk to break up lumps.

Step 3Stir until the mixture boils allowing mixture to boil for 1 minutes.

Step 4Stir in the chicken, vegetables, salt & pepper.

Step 5Pour this mixture into greased 13x9 baking dish or into 2 round, glass pie plates.

Step 6In a blender combine the crust ingredients.

Step 7Pour over filling making sure to cover it completely.

Step 8Bake it at 350' for about 45 minutes or until golden.
