devilishly spicy chicken

Found this in a low fat cookbook and it sounds really good

Ingredients

  • 1 - 4 lb chicken skinless and cut up
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 can 12 oz lt. beer
  • 1/3 cup chili sauce
  • 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups hot cooked noodles
  • 1 package 10 oz. tiny peas thawed

How To Make devilishly spicy chicken

  • Step 1
    sautee onion in butter in a large frying pan or dutch oven
  • Step 2
    add mustard, beer, worchestershire sauce, chili sauce. stir well. add chicken pieces. turn to coat. do this over a medium heat
  • Step 3
    reduce heat and cover simmering 20 minutes
  • Step 4
    turn each piece of meat and continue simmering until meat is fork tender ( make sure breast meat is done)
  • Step 5
    remove chicken pieces and keep warm. keep sauce simmering uncovered, until it reduces and thickens (about 6 to 8 minutes)
  • Step 6
    add peas to sauce and heat thru.
  • Step 7
    plate up hot noodles on individual plates, topping with chicken pieces and covering with some sauce
  • Step 8
    per serving, around 461 calories
