Put your rice on to cook, put you some crusty bread in the oven, set the table and you are good to go. When your tummy's are full have fun cleaning up the kitchen together.

Ingredients For crockpot creole jambalaya for two - dee dee's

  • 1 c
    chopped celery
  • 2 clove
    garlic
  • 1/4 c
    bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1 can
    14 1/2-ounce diced tomatoes with juice
  • 1/2 c
    fully cooked sausage, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    parsley flakes
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    thyme leaves, dried
  • 1/4 tsp
    cajun seasoning
  • 1/8 tsp
    red pepper
  • 6 oz
    uncooked deveined, peeled shrimp, thaw if frozen
  • 1 c
    rice, cooked and hot

How To Make crockpot creole jambalaya for two - dee dee's

    In 2 1/2- to 3 1/2-quart slow cooker, mix all ingredients except shrimp and rice.

    Cover and cook on low heat setting 7 to 8 hours or until vegetables are tender.

    Stir in shrimp. Cover and cook on low heat setting about 30 minutes or until shrimp are pink and firm. Serve over rice. Also, serve with a salad and some crusty bread.
