I love BBQ chicken but where I live grilling isn't always convenient. In the winter, it's too cold and during the summer it's just too hot. So when I get that craving this is my turn-to recipe.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Moist and delicious with this recipe you can get your BBQ chicken fix without having to fire up the grill. It's extremely easy to make. A great way to serve BBQ chicken at a cookout that can be made ahead of time. If you have leftovers (or just want a different option), shred the chicken and serve on Hawaiian rolls. Yum! Slow Cooker Crock Pot

Ingredients

  • 3-6 large
    boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 bottle
    bbq sauce (18 oz)
  • 1/4 c
    white vinegar
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 Tbsp
    crushed red pepper
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder

How to Make Crock Pot BBQ Chicken

Step-by-Step

  1. Place chicken in Crock Pot. (I throw mine in frozen and it works amazingly. You don't even need to break them apart!)
  2. Mix BBQ sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, crushed red pepper and garlic together in a separate bowl. (Make sure brown sugar is fully blended.)
  3. Pour BBQ mixture over chicken, making sure to coat the chicken evenly.
  4. Replace lid and cook on high for 6 hours. If using thawed chicken reduce time to 4 hours so as not to burn the chicken.
