This is a favorite of my family that is easily switched up with different seasonings to change the flavor of the chicken. I used a combination of picante sauce and brown sugar or honey and dijon mustard to give us a change. Great for working moms who need the main course finished by the time they get home!

How to Make Crock Pot Chicken

  1. Rinse chicken and pat dry with paper towels. Place skin side down in crock pot. Sprinkle salt, pepper and garlic powder over chicken.
  2. If you choose to add other flavors, do so before the onions and peppers. Spoon garlic onto chicken. Top with onion rings and bell pepper slices.
  3. Place lid on slow cooker and cook for 8 hours on low. When you get home, turn off crock pot and let the chicken sit to keep warm while you throw rice in the cooker and cook a few veggies to go with this. Place the chicken on a serving plate, top with extra onion or pepper for garnish.
