creamy chicken rigatoni bake
This is dinner tonight...something I threw together...I suspect the family will want garlic bread and a salad with it..but any good crusty bread would be good with this, and maybe a veggie..

Ingredients
- 8 ounces rigatoni pasta, cooked
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup onions, diced
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons instant chicken bouillon granules
- 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
- 3 cups chicken, cooked and cubed
- 4 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
- TOPPING
- 1 - sleeve of ritz crackers, crushed
- 1/2 stick butter ,melted
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan
How To Make creamy chicken rigatoni bake

Step 1Cook pasta according to package directions. Preheat oven to 350.

Step 2In large skillet, over medium heat, cook celery,red bell pepper and onion in margarine until tender. Stir in flour and boullion. . Gradually stir in milk. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat. Add cheese; stir until melted.

Step 3Stir in the pasta and chicken.

Step 4Spoon into a greased 9x13 baking dish. Melt the 1/2 cup of butter and add to the crushed ritz crumbs, then add cheese and garlic powder, mix well and evenly coat the top of casserole Cover. Bake 30 - 40 minutes remove the cover, and continue baking another 5 min or till golden brown...I used a deep dish pie plate for presentation..so it may not take as long to bake using a 9x13 pan.
