Creamy Chicken Pasta Bake

I made up this recipe and delivered it to a very dear friend to raise her spirits the day she received some devastating health news.

16 oz
whole wheat pasta, uncooked
3 c
cooked and diced chicken
2 stalk(s)
sliced celery
1 medium
diced onion
1/4 tsp
dill dried weed
1/2 tsp
seasoning salt
1 tsp
chicken soup base
1 tsp
garlic and herb seasoning
1 can(s)
cream of chicken soup
6 oz
top the tater sour cream
3/4 c
shredded medium cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp
olive oil, extra virgin
2 c
frozen vegetable (i used peas & carrots)


1Brown onion and celery in olive oil.
2Add pasta to boiling water with all herb and spice ingredients. Cook just to the tender point. Add vegetables.
3Combine all ingredients but cheese. Divide into two casserole dishes. Freeze one.

Cover and bake at 350 for 45-50 min. Top with cheese and bake uncovered for 10 min.
