cornish game hen’s pure and simple
With such a simple recipe one would think these can’t be tasty. But the reduced ginger ale adds just the right amount of sweetness. And will make you go hmmmm what is this deliciousness I’m tasting. I served these with my Polenta dish posted here on JAP.

Ingredients
- - 4 rock cornish game hens
- - 2 cans vernors ginger ale
- - 4 teaspoons sea salt “ 1 teaspoon per bird”
- - 4 teaspoons fresh ground pepper “ 1 teaspoon per bird “
How To Make cornish game hen’s pure and simple

Step 1DIRECTIONS:

Step 2Cook the ginger ale till it has reduced and is thick and syrupy. You’ll have about ¼ to ½ cup when it’s done.

Step 3Rinse the game hens and pat dry.

Step 4Place them on a non stick baking pan “ or line with parchment”.

Step 5Brush with the reduced ginger ale.

Step 6Season each bird with the salt and pepper.

Step 7Bake 375 covered loosely for about 1 hour, then uncover and bake for additional 20 – 30 minutes “ depending on your oven “ till the birds are golden brown and have reached an internal temperature of 165.
