paprika

seasoning salt

1 Tbsp
all purpose flour
2/3 c
milk
1/4 tsp
salt
1/4 Tbsp
pepper

How to Make Chicken With Country Gravy

Step-by-Step

  • 1Place butter and oil in a medium ovenproof skillet. Place in a 425 F oven for 5 minutes.
  • 2Meanwhile, in a large resealable plastic bag, combine flour and seasoning.
  • 3Add the chicken, one piece at the time. Seal bag and toss to coat.
  • 4Carefully place chicken, skin side down, in hot skillet. Bake uncovered, for 15-20 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer reads 180 F.
  • 5Remove and keep warm. Transfer 1 tablespoon of drippings from the skillet to a small saucepan; stir in flour until smooth.
  • 6Gradually stir in the milk, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
