How to Make Chicken With Country Gravy
1Place butter and oil in a medium ovenproof skillet. Place in a 425 F oven for 5 minutes.
2Meanwhile, in a large resealable plastic bag, combine flour and seasoning.
3Add the chicken, one piece at the time. Seal bag and toss to coat.
4Carefully place chicken, skin side down, in hot skillet. Bake uncovered, for 15-20 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer reads 180 F.
5Remove and keep warm. Transfer 1 tablespoon of drippings from the skillet to a small saucepan; stir in flour until smooth.
6Gradually stir in the milk, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
