Ingredients
- 6 chicken tender strips, boneless, skinless
- 3/4 cup flour
- 5 to 6 medium red potatoes, peeled and sliced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2/3 cup non-fat dry powdered milk
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon better than bullion chicken flavor
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon softened butter
How To Make chicken tenders country style

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using the softened butter, grease a 2.75 quart casserole dish, set aside.

Step 2Peel and slice potatoes and place in the bottom of the buttered casserole dish, sprinkle with salt and pepper and set aside.

Step 3Dredge chicken tenders in flour and heat oil in skillet. Once oil is hot, add chicken tenders and brown on both sides. Remove from skillet and lay on top of potatoes.

Step 4Add non-fat dry powdered milk to water, stirring to mix. Using the same pan that the chicken was browned in, add flour to hot oil stirring constantly until flour is browned. Add milk, Better than Bullion and more salt/pepper, if desired. Stir constantly until thickened.

Step 5When gravy has thickened, pour over chicken and potatoes, making sure that chicken is coated. Cover with foil and bake for one hour. Remove foil and let stand a few minutes. Serve with your favorite vegetables, rolls or biscuits.
