Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground white meat chicken or ground white meat turkey, preferably organic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1/2 - red onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 can peeled tomatoes, no salt added
  • 2 tablespoons bbq sauce, organic
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1/3 cup chicken broth, no salt added
  • 1 tablespoon poultry spice
  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper
  • 4 - onion rolls, bakery or any favorite bun/rolls

How To Make chicken sloppy joes

  • Step 1
    Drizzle olive oil in sauté pan, add chopped onion & garlic, cook for 3 minutes over medium heat. Add chicken breast, poultry seasoning and cook thoroughly breaking up chicken into small pieces while cooking and stirring occasionally
  • Step 2
    Meantime purée tomatoes with juice, add remaining ingredients and blend well to make sauce. Pour over chicken and sauté together for 5 - 10 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Slice onion rolls and toast.
  • Step 4
    Scoop sloppy joe mixture onto roll. Add cheese if desired and serve.
