Chicken Paprikash

A childhood favorite, my mom would make this Hungarian chicken paprikash fairly frequently. I loved it and came up with a slightly healthified version. Enjoy! Full blog post about it here:

chicken breasts, cubed
1 Tbsp
olive oil
onion, chopped
1 clove
garlic, chopped
1 c
1 tsp
chicken bouillon
2 Tbsp
6 oz
non fat greek yogurt
2 Tbsp
low fat sour cream
1 tsp
1 tsp
2 c
egg noodles, uncooked
4 c
water, for cooking egg noodles

How to Make Chicken Paprikash


  • 1In a large skillet, brown chicken chunks in olive oil. Once, browned remove chicken from skillet.
  • 2Add onions and garlic to the same skillet and saute for about 5 minutes
  • 3Add in water, bouillon, paprika, and chicken. Cook on low until chicken is done.
  • 4While chicken is simmering, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add in egg noodles, and cook for 6 minutes.
  • 5Once chicken is cooked through, remove skillet from heat and pour in yogurt and sour cream. Adjust seasonings to taste. Add in drained, cooked egg noodles and let simmer for two minutes.
