Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 slice
    onion, thin rings
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 4
    skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 c
    red wine
  • 1 tsp
    dried rosemary
  • 4 slice
    swiss cheese
  • 4
    english muffins, split and toasted
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil

How to Make Chicken Melt

Step-by-Step

  1. Poke chicken full of holes and marinate chicken in the wine, thyme and rosemary for a little over an hour.
  2. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place the onion slices in the skillet, sprinkle with garlic powder and sauté until onions are translucent. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Broil chicken breasts for 5-6 minutes on each side or until juices run clear
  4. Place a slice of cheese on each breast half and top off with onions. Cool until cheese starts to melt. Serve on toasted English muffin or regular bread.
