Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 slice onion, thin rings
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 - skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 4 slices swiss cheese
  • 4 - english muffins, split and toasted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

How To Make chicken melt

  • Step 1
    Poke chicken full of holes and marinate chicken in the wine, thyme and rosemary for a little over an hour.
  • Step 2
    Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place the onion slices in the skillet, sprinkle with garlic powder and sauté until onions are translucent. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Step 3
    Broil chicken breasts for 5-6 minutes on each side or until juices run clear
  • Step 4
    Place a slice of cheese on each breast half and top off with onions. Cool until cheese starts to melt. Serve on toasted English muffin or regular bread.
