Ingredients

1 Tbsp
butter
1 slice
onion, thin rings
1 tsp
garlic powder
4
skinless, boneless chicken breasts
1/2 c
red wine
1 tsp
dried rosemary
4 slice
swiss cheese
4
english muffins, split and toasted
1 Tbsp
olive oil

How to Make Chicken Melt

Step-by-Step

  • 1Poke chicken full of holes and marinate chicken in the wine, thyme and rosemary for a little over an hour.
  • 2Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place the onion slices in the skillet, sprinkle with garlic powder and sauté until onions are translucent. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • 3Broil chicken breasts for 5-6 minutes on each side or until juices run clear
  • 4Place a slice of cheese on each breast half and top off with onions. Cool until cheese starts to melt. Serve on toasted English muffin or regular bread.
