this is one of my favorite to grill up in the summer...

2 c
evoo(extra virgin olive oil)
juice from 3 lemons
2 Tbsp
chopped garlic (fresh)
3/4 Tbsp
chopped rosemary leaves (fresh)
3/4 Tbsp
thyme, leaves (fresh)
single bonless skinless chicken breast cut into lg cubes
1 tsp
dried oregano
1 large
red onion, cut into wedges
salt and pepper to taste
bamboo skewers


2 - 7oz
containers plain yogurt
4 Tbsp
sour cream, lite (or fat free)
zest of 2 lemons (fine)
juice from 1 lemon
2 Tbsp
minced garlic
1 Tbsp
2 tsp
1/3 c
fresh mint or dill (chopped)
pocket-less pita bread (warmed or grilled)

How to Make Chicken Kebabs w/lemon pepper yogurt


  • 1Kebabs: in a plastic bag, combine evoo, lemon juice, garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Add chicken, shake well. put in the fridge for 3 hrs
  • 2Sauce: combine all sauce ingredients in a mixing bowl,mix well and refrigerate at least 2 hrs
  • 3remove chicken pieces from bag salt & pepper well. Skewer the chicken and onions(you can also add mushrooms and green & red peppers to skewers). Grill chicken for 5 min. on each side, until golden brown and juices of chicken run clear when poked with extra skewer.
  • 4mean while warm Pitas. after chicken is cooked add to warm folded pita and top with lemon pepper yogurt sauce.
  • 5if you choose i like to put it on rice. So make your favorite rice i use white or brown rice(plain), both bring out the lemon pepper yogurt sauce.
