I love slowcooking in the fall & winter. I freeze leftovers in (generous!) single serving microwaveable containers for quick lunches or suppers. Jim(my hubby) really likes this one! I'll put up a foto as soon as I figure out how!!!

Ingredients

3 to 4 lb
chicken, cooked and cut into bite-sized chunks
1 can(s)
chicken broth, low salt
2 can(s)
favorite beer
8 oz
fresh baby carrots
8 oz
fresh or frozen wax beans
8 oz
fresh or frozen sweet corn
1 medium
yellow crooked neck squash pealed and chunked,
1 medium
chopped onion
8 oz
fresh sliced mushrooms
2 Tbsp
minced garlic
1/2 c
sugar-free maple syrup
2 Tbsp
liquid smoke flavoring
2 Tbsp
sage, dried
1 large
peeled, cored and chopped red apple
1/2 c
whole wheat flour
fresh ground black pepper to taste

How to Make Chicken Harvest Stew

Step-by-Step

  • 1Put all ingredients in large slowcooker on high for @ 3 hours.
  • 2Reduce to low and cook for another 2 hours.
  • 3Turn slowcooker to warm and serve with buttered bread slices when ready to eat. Enjoy!
