chicken and bean stew
(1 RATING)
A great crock pot recipe that you can make in a regular stock pot too! I just threw this together because my husband and kids love Chili and also loves.

How To Make chicken and bean stew
-
Step 1Boil Chicken until done, then drain water(so u can get the water from the chicken with out the fat)use that water which should be 1 and 1/2 qts and add in the crock pot, cool chicken enough to dice it then add it to crock pot too.
-
Step 2Chop up all the fresh veggies, and sage then add it to crock pot.
-
Step 3Open up the chicken broth, pour in diced tomatoes (no need to drain tomatoes or beans), beans and frozen veggies, add it to the crock pot.
-
Step 4Add in salt and garlic powder( used mainly for taste, really). Stir mixture together and let cook for 5 hrs on high setting(at least).
-
Step 5If making this recipe in a stock pot, do the same steps but cook on low heat and stir often so it doesn't stick to bottom.
-
Step 6Serve with crescent rolls when done.... or even corn bread if you want, too.
