A great crock pot recipe that you can make in a regular stock pot too! I just threw this together because my husband and kids love Chili and also loves.

white kidney beans
2 can(s)
red kidney beans
white onion chopped
green peppers chopped
green zuchini chopped
2 can(s)
diced tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp
sea salt
1/2 c
finely chopped sage leaves
3 lb
or family sized package of boneless skinless chicken breast
1 pkg
family sized frozen mixed veggies
2 Tbsp
garlic powder
2 qt
low sodium low fat chicken broth
1 1/2 qt

How to Make Chicken and Bean Stew


  • 1Boil Chicken until done, then drain water(so u can get the water from the chicken with out the fat)use that water which should be 1 and 1/2 qts and add in the crock pot,cool chicken enough to dice it then add it to crock pot too.
  • 2Chop up all the fresh veggies,and sage then add it to crock pot.
  • 3Open up the chicken broth, pour in diced tomatoes (no need to drain tomatoes or beans), beans and frozen veggies, add it to the crock pot.
  • 4Add in salt and garlic powder( used mainly for taste,really). Stir mixture together and let cook for 5 hrs on high setting(at least).
  • 5If making this recipe in a stock pot, do the same steps but cook on low heat and stir often so it doesn't stick to bottom.
  • 6Serve with crescent rolls when done.... or even corn bread if you want, too.
