These chicken breasts make a nice main dish for dinner and also great to serve guests.

Ingredients

  • 4 - boneless chicken breasts
  • 1--10 oz. package sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 cups seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup margerine
  • 2 - eggs,beaten
  • 1 cup chicken bouillon
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 2 cups white rice, cooked
  • 1 cup wild rice, cooked
  • 6--oz. jars mushrooms,sliced

How To Make cheesy chicken breasts

  • Step 1
    Cut chicken breasts in half. Flatten each. Cut cheese into 8 eaqual sticks. Roll each chicken breast around a stick of cheese.
  • Step 2
    Dip in egg and breadcrumbs. Brown in 1/4 cup of margerine. Set aside. Cook onion and green pepper in 1/4 cup of margerine until tender.
  • Step 3
    Add boullion, flour and seasonings. Cook until thickened. Add rice and mushrooms. Pour into a shallow casserole.
  • Step 4
    Top with chicken breasts. Bake in preheated oven at 400' for 25 minutes. Enjoy!
