Ingredients

  • 4 pounds fresh chicken, cut into 8 pieces
  • 1 large egg, slightly beaten
  • 5 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup instant mashed potato flakes for coating

How To Make baked crispy chicken

  • Step 1
    In a small bowl. Combine the egg, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, onion powder and celery salt.
  • Step 2
    Place chicken pieces in a large bowl and pour vinegar mixture over it. Cover and marinate for several hours or overnight in the refrigerator, turning chicken several times. Remove and drain.
  • Step 3
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Melt butter in a large shallow casserole or baking dish. Place potato flakes in another shallow dish and roll chicken pieces in flakes until well coated.
  • Step 4
    Place chicken pieces skin-side down, 1 to 2 inches apart, in baking dish and bake 25 minutes. Turn chicken pieces and bake 20 to 30 more minutes, or until cooked through.
