  • 4 lb
    chicken fryer parts
  • 6 Tbsp
  • 6 Tbsp
    cooking oil
  • 1--8oz. can(s)
  • 3 Tbsp
    parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    seasoned salt
  • 6 Tbsp
  • 2 can(s)
    consumme' soup
  • 1 c
    white wine
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp

How to Make Aunt Alice's Company Chicken


  1. Brown chicken in skillet in butter and oil.

    Remove chicken from skillet and arrange in large casserole.
  2. Add flour to skillet drippings. Blend well.

    Add onions, consumme' mushrooms. parsley, seasonings and wine.
  3. Cook and stir until mixture boils and thickens.

    Pour mixture over chicken.

    Cover and bake at 350' for 1 hour.
  4. Baste occasionally.
    May be prepared a day in advance and baked the day of the chicken is to be served.
