asian sesame seed chicken

I try to make a variety of dishes with chicken breast meat. This is what we had for dinner tonight over white rice.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1 teaspoon heaping, minced bottled garlic
  • 1 large vidalia onion, slivered
  • 1 - whole chicken breast, skinless and boneless
  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 2 teaspoons pimentos
  • 1 package frozen asian stir fry vegetables
  • 2 teaspoons mrs. dash table blend
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch ( heaping )
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce ( opt )
  • - fresh cracked pepper

How To Make asian sesame seed chicken

  • Step 1
    Cut chicken into bite size pieces In a large skillet, on medium high heat, add oil, garlic, onions and chicken. Cook until chicken starts to turn white, turning often ( about 10 minutes )
  • Step 2
    eadd chestnuts and mushrooms, cook another 10 minutes, stirring add packaged frozen vegetables ( I set mine out of freezer before I start preparing this dish )
  • Step 3
    cover and cook 10 minutes, add pimentos and seasonings. ( add soy sauce now if using )
  • Step 4
    remove lid, stir, add chicken broth mix cornstarch with 1/2 cup cold water or broth and add to bubbling skillet, stirring until clear and thickened. Sprinkle with fresh pepper.
  • Step 5
    sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve over cooked rice or ramean noodles.
