Asian Sesame Seed Chicken

I try to make a variety of dishes with chicken breast meat. This is what we had for dinner tonight over white rice.

olive oil, extra virgin
1 tsp
heaping, minced bottled garlic
1 large
vidalia onion, slivered
whole chicken breast, skinless and boneless
1 c
sliced fresh mushrooms
1 can(s)
sliced water chestnuts
2 tsp
1 pkg
frozen asian stir fry vegetables
2 tsp
mrs. dash table blend
2 tsp
sesame seeds
2 tsp
cornstarch ( heaping )
3/4 c
chicken broth
2 Tbsp
soy sauce ( opt )
fresh cracked pepper

How to Make Asian Sesame Seed Chicken


  • 1Cut chicken into bite size pieces
    In a large skillet, on medium high heat, add oil, garlic, onions and chicken.

    Cook until chicken starts to turn white, turning often ( about 10 minutes )
  • 2eadd chestnuts and mushrooms, cook another 10 minutes, stirring

    add packaged frozen vegetables ( I set mine out of freezer before I start preparing this dish )
  • 3cover and cook 10 minutes, add pimentos and seasonings. ( add soy sauce now if using )
  • 4remove lid, stir, add chicken broth

    mix cornstarch with 1/2 cup cold water or broth and add to bubbling skillet, stirring until clear and thickened. Sprinkle with fresh pepper.
  • 5sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve over cooked rice or ramean noodles.
