This is an easy and delicious healthy Chicken Cordon Bleu. No breading needed. This is a "U Gotta Try Me" kinda recipe. I Americanized this French dish by adding McCormick Grill Mates Applewood Rub. Cooking with Love & Passion. sw :)

Ingredients
- 4 - boneles skinless chicken breast, flattened
- 4-6 ounces good ham, thinly sliced
- 4 ounces gruyere cheese or swiss
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil, divided
- 2 tablespoons mccormick grill mates applewood rub-less if you wish
- 2 teaspoons tarragon, dried
- pinch sea salt to taste-i used white truffle sea salt
How To Make applewood rub chicken cordon bleu

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Add equal parts ham & cheese on chicken breast; add a few pinches of rub. Roll chicken breasts and secure with toothpicks. Rub chicken breasts with remaining rub and tarragon. Drizzle with olive oil.

Step 2Preheat oiled grill pan to medium-high heat. Sear chicken face down for for 5-6 minutes until golden brown. Flip over and transfer pan to oven.

Step 3Bake for 12-15 minutes until chicken juices run clear. Allow to rest then slice. Drizzle with remaining olive oil.
