This is such a great salad, different from the ordinary and we love it wrapped up in a flour tortilla

Ingredients

  • 4 c
    cubed cooked chicken
  • 1 1/2 c
    seedless green grapes, halved
  • 1 c
    chopped celery
  • 3/4 c
    sliced green onions (i use a little less)
  • 3
    hard boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c
    sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp
    prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    celery salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground mustard
  • 1/8 tsp
    paprika
  • 1/2 c
    slivered almonds, toasted
  • 1
    kiwifruit, peeled and sliced, optional

How to Make Almond Chicken Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large bowl, combine chicken, grapes, celery, onions and eggs. In another bowl, combine the next nine ingredients; stir until smooth. Pour over the chicken mixture and toss gently. Stir in almonds and serve immediately, or refrigerate and add the almonds just before serving. Garnish with kiwi if desired.
