I'm always looking for cashew chicken variations--love the stuff! I will order that almost every time I go to an Asian restaurant. I found this online and knew right away this was a winner!

Ingredients

  • 2 lb
    boneless skinless chicken breast tenders
  • 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    canola oil
  • 1/2 c
    soy sauce
  • 4 Tbsp
    rice wine vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp
    ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp
    grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1 c
    cashews

How to Make ALL DAY CASHEW CHICKEN

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large Ziploc bag, combine the flour and pepper. Add chicken. Shake to coat with flour mixture.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown chicken about 2 minutes on each side. Place chicken in slow cooker.
  3. In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, vinegar, ketchup, sugar, garlic, ginger, and pepper flakes; pour over chicken.
  4. Cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours. Add cashews and stir. Serve over rice, spooning sauce over chicken and rice.
