This is one of the delicious foods from the Philippines that my family enjoys.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1 pound pork, cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 - head garlic, cruahed
  • 1 - bay leaf
  • - peppercorns, whole black
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 5 tablespoons cooking oil (optional)
  • - salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup water

How To Make adobo chicken and pork

  • Step 1
    Put chicken and pork in a cooking pan. Add garlic, vinegar, water, bay leaf, peppercorns, soy sauce, salt and pepper.
  • Step 2
    Cover pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until most of liquid is gone. Add the cooking oil and mix together (optional).
  • Step 3
    Serve with rice. Can be made with all chicken or all pork if desired.
