salmon potatoe casserole
I have made this recipe a few times. It is quite tasty and something a little different. I found this recipe on the back of a box of Carnation Instant Potatoes. I had almost forgotten that I had it. Now that I found it in an old recipe box I will certainly make it again. It's a meal in one.

Ingredients
- - 1/3 cup chopped onion
- - 2 tbsp of butter or margerine
- - 1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup
- - 1/2 cup of milk
- - 2 (7 3/4 oz) cans of drained flaked salmon
- - 2 cups of cooked, drained peas
- - 2 tsp lemon juice
- - 4 serving recipe carnation instant mashed potatoes
- - paprika
How To Make salmon potatoe casserole

Step 1Saute onions in butter until tender

Step 2Blend in soup and milk

Step 3Stir in salmon, peas and lemon juice

Step 4Divide mixture into four- 2 cup individual casserole or custard cups

Step 5Make the 4 serving recipe for the instant mashed potatoes according to package directions. Spoon the prepared potatoes in a ring around the edge of each casserole

Step 6Sprinkle the tops with paprika

Step 7Bake in moderate oven (350F) for 20 to 25 minutes or until hot

Step 8Makes 4 servings

Step 92 (6.5 oz.) cans drained flaked tuna can be substituted for the salmon
