Ingredients

  • 1 - store bought pie crust
  • 2 - chicken breast
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 bag pre cooked cubed potatoes
  • 1 bag frozen veggies (peas, carrots, corn, green beans)
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 - onion, diced
  • 1/2 stalk celery, diced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 - egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 pinch thyme

How To Make family style chicken pot pie

  • Step 1
    Boil the chicken breasts in the chicken stock, about 30 mins..add the diced potatoes for another 5.remove and dice the chicken.
  • Step 2
    In a skillet add butter, onions & celery saute about 5 mins..add in the flour cook 5 mins. add the milk, then the shredded chicken, potatoes, frozen veggies & broth.
  • Step 3
    combine well, pour into a pie dish, top with the pie crust & brush with egg wash, make a few slits and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step 4
    let cool before cutting. enjoy
