I call this Leftover Backed MAC&CHEESE Because I alway use my leftovers from a bbq so you can use left over grilled chicken, hamburger patties or smoked sausage etc.. just cut your leftover cooked meat into bite size. Very easy to throw together fast and your family won't even care or notice your using leftovers! This dish serves many come out creamy and is Delicious. Tip don't over bake! Enjoy ????

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked
  • 4 cups shredded cheese
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter- heaping
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/3 medium sweet onion
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup croutons, garlic

How To Make leftover baked mac&cheese

  • Step 1
    Under cook you elbow macaroni about 8-9 mins rinse in hot water set aside to drain.
  • Step 2
    Heat up butter add chopped onions Sauté for two minutes
  • Step 3
    Add flour whisk fast turn heat down add cream cheese and heavy cream whisk until creamy
  • Step 4
    Add milk heat for 2 minutes whisk until creamy again then add a hand full of shredded cheese at a time until each hand full is melting turn off stove and take off burner Immediately. Add in Parmesan cheese.
  • Step 5
    Add macaroni cheese sauce your cooked leftover meat mix into baking dish bake adding Croutons on top cover with foil and bake at 15 minutes at 400°. The last five minutes pull aluminum foil off and continue to bake for the last five minutes.
