Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds hamburger
- 2 cups celery chopped
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 can bean sprouts, drained
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
- 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
- 3 cups long grain rice, cooked
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons molasses, optional
- salt and pepper to taste
- chow mein noodles, for garnish
How To Make hamburger chowmein hotdish

Step 1Preheat oven to 350° F. Greased 2 quart casserole dish

Step 2Cook rice according to directions on package.

Step 3In a heavy skillet, brown ground beef with onions and celery, and then in a prepared casserole dish, mix together cooked rice, browned ground beef mixture, canned soups, canned sprouts, canned water chestnuts, soy sauce and molasses.

Step 4Cover the dish and bake 30 minutes. Uncover and add chow mein noodles. Bake an additional 15 minutes.
