Ingredients

1 1/2 lbhamburger

2 ccelery chopped

1onion chopped

1 can(s)bean sprouts, drained

1 can(s)sliced water chestnuts, drained

2 can(s)cream of mushroom soup

3 clong grain rice, cooked
-
4 Tbspsoy sauce
-
2 Tbspmolasses, optional

·salt and pepper to taste

·chow mein noodles, for garnish
How to Make Hamburger Chowmein Hotdish
- Preheat oven to 350° F. Greased 2 quart casserole dish
- Cook rice according to directions on package.
- In a heavy skillet, brown ground beef with onions and celery, and then in a prepared casserole dish, mix together cooked rice, browned ground beef mixture, canned soups, canned sprouts, canned water chestnuts, soy sauce and molasses.
- Cover the dish and bake 30 minutes. Uncover and add chow mein noodles. Bake an additional 15 minutes.
