I love the French Onion Flavor This is a combination of 2 recipes. Hubby requested it be made again!

Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 2 pounds chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 1 cup onions- chopped
- 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 package lipton dry onion soup mix
- 1 plus 2 cups chicken stock
- 1-1/2 cup long grain rice
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese -divided
How To Make french onion chicken and rice

Step 1Cook chicken and shred. Set aside. In a large pot, melt butter on med/high heat, then add in onions. Cook onions until brown and Golden- Carnalized slightly . Add in Garlic powdercream of mushroom soup, and Lipton onion soup mix.

Step 2Add in flour. stir and cook out flour. Pour in 1 cup chicken stock. and stir until thickened some.

Step 3Secure a 13x9 pan. Grease with cookng spray. Layer bottom with shredded chicken, then evenly sprinkle dry rice over chicken.

Step 4Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 5Pour over onion mixture slowly and evenly. Slowly add 2 more cups of chicken stock. Do not stir. Sprinkle more Cheese evenly.

Step 6Bake 45 min. , or until rice is absorbed by liquid. It should be golden and Bubbly too!

Step 7Serve with fresh vegetables or salad
