This is a delicious and satisfying dish that anyone will love! The chicken will become semi-shredded by the time it is done--it literally falls apart. To spice it up a bit you could add a pinch or two or chili powder, cayenne, or even a spoonful of salsa. 09-02-2019

Ingredients

  • 8 - boneless skinless chicken strips
  • 1 can cream of chicken or cream of celery soup, undiluted
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can (14 oz.) whole kernel corn, drained well
  • 1-1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 box zatarain's yellow rice mix, prepared
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How To Make crock pot cheesy chicken

  • Crock Pot Cheesy Chicken with onions added.
    Step 1
    Place chicken pieces in crock pot and cover with chopped onion and minced garlic.
  • Crock Pot Cheesy Chicken after creamed soup has been added.
    Step 2
    Spread the soup evenly over all and cook on Low for 7 hours or on High for 3-1/2 hours.
  • Step 3
    Prepare rice as directed on package.
  • Cheese, rice, corn and seasonings have been added to chicken mixture.
    Step 4
    Add drained corn, cooked rice, cheese, and seasonings to the chicken mixture and combine well. Continue to cook for another few minutes until cheese is melted and mixture is hot.
  • Serve Crock Pot Cheesy Chicken to diners.
