This is a delicious and satisfying dish that anyone will love! The chicken will become semi-shredded by the time it is done--it literally falls apart. To spice it up a bit you could add a pinch or two or chili powder, cayenne, or even a spoonful of salsa. 09-02-2019

    boneless skinless chicken strips
  • 1 can
    cream of chicken or cream of celery soup, undiluted
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 1 can
    (14 oz.) whole kernel corn, drained well
  • 1-1/2 c
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 box
    zatarain's yellow rice mix, prepared
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper

  • Crock Pot Cheesy Chicken with onions added.

    Place chicken pieces in crock pot and cover with chopped onion and minced garlic.
  • Crock Pot Cheesy Chicken after creamed soup has been added.

    Spread the soup evenly over all and cook on Low for 7 hours or on High for 3-1/2 hours.

    Prepare rice as directed on package.
  • Cheese, rice, corn and seasonings have been added to chicken mixture.

    Add drained corn, cooked rice, cheese, and seasonings to the chicken mixture and combine well. Continue to cook for another few minutes until cheese is melted and mixture is hot.
