Found this recipe in a What's Cooking Kraft magazine. Recipe has been changed over the last 20 years. You can use other vegetables. Peas and carrots, mixed vegetables, or cauliflower.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups skim milk
  • 1/4 cup salad dressing
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups minute rice uncooked
  • 1 1/4 pounds skinnless chicken breasts
  • 3 cups broccoli
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make chicken & rice casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven at 375 F
  • Step 2
    Stir on milk, salad dressing, thyme, garlic powder in a shallow 3L or 13x9 casserole.
  • Step 3
    Add rice, chicken and broccoli.
  • Step 4
    Bake for 30 minutes and remove from oven.
  • Step 5
    Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese, until melted and liquid is absorbed.
