Ingredients
- 8 ounces lean ground beef
- 8 ounces bulk italian sausage
- - salt and pepper
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 - green bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 6 cups chopped savoy cabbage, chopped
- 1-1/2 cup uncooked long grain white rice
- 1 can (14.5 ounce) diced tomatoes
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
- 2 teaspoons fennel seed
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
How To Make cabbage and rice bake

Step 1Preheat oven to 375F.

Step 2Brown ground beef and sausage with onion, bell pepper, and garlic, seasoning to taste with salt and pepper; drain off fat.

Step 3Place meat mixture in a greased casserole with remaining ingredients and give it a stir.

Step 4Sprinkle the top with Parmesan cheese and cover tightly with foil.

Step 5Bake for 50-60 minute or until the rice gets tender.
