My mom was always trying to find a new way to cook ground meat when we were growing up. This is one of her concoctions. Pretty tasty when cooked on the grill!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, diced small
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 - tablespoons each: bread crumbs, dried parsley
- 1 - teaspoon each: salt and pepper
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1 - teaspoons each: dried oregano, rosemary
- 4 - toasted hamburger buns
- 4 - slices of mozzarella cheese
- 4 - slices of tomatoes
- 4 - lettuce leaves
- - ketchup, mustard, pickles
How To Make mama's italian burgers

Step 1Mix ground beef with onion, garlic powder, bread crumbs, parsley, salt, pepper, basil, oregano, and rosemary.

Step 2Form into 4 patties.

Step 3I think these are best when cooked on the grill, about 4 minutes a side. They may also be pan fried.

Step 4Place burgers on buns. Top with cheese, tomatoes and lettuce. Serve with ketchup, mustard and pickles.
