1 lb
ground turkey (i use the thigh mead, not as dry as the breast when cooked)
1/2 c
feta cheese crumbles
2 tsp
dried oregano
1/2 tsp
dried thyme
1/2 tsp
ground black pepper
2 tsp
olive oil
1/4 c
plain yogurt
1/4 tsp
ground cumin (or to taste)
salt, to taste
hamburger buns, toasted (i use whole-wheat)
lettuce, tomato slices and cucumber slices, for topping (optional)

How to Make Greek Turkey Burgers with Spiced Yogurt Sauce


  • 1In a large bowl, combine turkey, feta, oregano, thyme and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Shape into 4 patties.
  • 2Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet on medium heat until hot. Add the patties and cook 5 minutes per side, or until burgers are cooked through.
  • 3Season yogurt to taste with cumin, salt and remaining pepper.
  • 4Serve the burgers on the buns and top each with 1 tablespoon of the yogurt mixture. Garnish with toppings, if desired.
