Ingredients For greek lamb burgers

  • 1 lb
    ground lamb
  • 1/2 c
    Feta cheese, plus more for serving
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped fresh mint
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped fresh dill
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil, plus more for brushing
  • 4
    hamburger buns
  • arugula or lettuce of choice
  • sliced Roma tomatoes
  • Tzatziki sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • Kalamata olives

How To Make greek lamb burgers

  • In a large mixing bowl, mix ground lamb, Feta, mint, dill, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb with 1/2 c of the Feta cheese, the fresh mint, fresh dill, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Form into 4 patties.

    Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  • Fry one side of the lamb burger.

    Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties on one side for 7 minutes.
  • Fry the second side of the lamb burger.

    Flip the burgers. Cook another 7 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.
  • Brush the hamburger bun with olive oil.

    Once the burgers are done, remove them from the skillet and set aside. Drain the oil from the skillet. Brush the buns with olive oil.
  • Toast the buns.

    Place the buns cut side down in the skillet and griddle until they are golden brown and toasted.
  • Add lettuce and sliced tomato to the hamburger bun.

    To dress the burger, stack the arugula or other lettuce and two slices of tomatoes on each bottom bun.
  • Lamb burger placed on top of the tomatoes and topped with Tzatziki sauce.

    Place each lamb burger on top of the tomato. Add about 1 Tbsp Tzatziki sauce and a sprinkle of Feta cheese on each.
  • Add the top of the hamburger bun.

    Add the top of the bun and serve with Kalamata olives on the side.
