Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder (not salt)
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder (not salt)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 large fresh portabello mushrooms stems removed

How To Make cajun grilled portabello mushrooms

  • Step 1
    Preheat grill.
  • Step 2
    In a wide shallow dish, mix together all ingredients except olive oil and mushrooms.
  • Step 3
    Lightly brush both sides of the mushrooms with oil, then dip them in the spice mixture until thoroughly coated.
  • Step 4
    Place mushrooms on the grill stem side down and cook about 8 minutes. Turn them over and cook about 6 minutes, or until tender and browned.
