bacon cheeseburger meatloaf burgers
Growing up one of my favorite sandwiches was one my Grandmother made which was a grilled cheese and meatloaf sandwich. That's what gave me this idea for these burgers and they are just delicious.

Ingredients
- 3 slices bacon
- 1 pound ground chuck
- 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
- 3 tablespoons milk
- - splash of worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced onion
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
How To Make bacon cheeseburger meatloaf burgers
-
Step 1Line a baking sheet with tinfoil and place the bacon on the tinfoil and put in a 350 degree oven for 12-15 minutes or until crispy.
-
Step 2Meanwhile, in a large bowl combine ground chuck, bread crumbs, milk, worcestershire sauce, minced onion, chili powder and garlic powder. Once the bacon is done, remove to a paper towel lined plate to drain and then crumble into the meat mixture, add the cheese and mix well. Divide the meat into four portions and make into patties. Drain off the bacon grease from the baking sheet and place the burgers on the baking sheet (that little hint of bacon grease left on the tinfoil is very flavorful).
-
Step 3Whisk together the ketchup, mustard and honey and brush the tops of the burgers. Place in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes.
