8all-beef wieners (cut into thirds)
1 3/4 call-purpose flour (can use 1-cup white and 3/4-cup whole wheat)
3 tspbaking powder
1/4 tspbaking soda
1/4 tspdry mustard
1/2 csour cream
How to Make "Wiener Roll-Ups"...from a recipe buddy
- Mix dry ingredients in a medium sized bowl.
Cut in shortening with a pastry blender or 2-knives.
Stir in sour cream and milk and mix, only until a ball forms.
Using a little flour, roll out the dough and cut into strips, the width of the wiener pieces.
Cut each strip into squares, just large enough to roll around the wiener piece.
- Roll up a piece of wiener in each square and place seam side down on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
Bake at 400º for 15 minutes.
Serve with your choice of mustard, catsup, a salad or a good bowl of homemade soup.
MAKES: 24 rolls
