On LI, New York..there is a hamburger fast food restaurant named Wendy's, that makes the absolute BEST Chili!! Many years ago, a local radio station gave out the recipe, and this is it!! I make it all the time, I am truly addicted to it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 - 29 oz can of tomato sauce
- 1 - 29 oz can of pinto beans with liquid
- 1 - 29 oz can of red kidney beans with liquid
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 2 - green chilis, diced
- 1 - celery stalk, diced
- 3 - medium tomatoes, chopped
- 2 teaspoons cumin powder
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 cups water
How To Make wendy's chili

Step 1Brown ground beef in a large skillet, drain well, and crumble beef with a fork.

Step 2In a large saucepot, combine beef, and all ingredients in order listed.

Step 3Bring to a simmer, and cook, uncovered, stirring every 15 minutes, for 2-3 hours. When chili is done, spoon into bowls and top with diced onion, shredded cheddar cheese, or sour cream, as desired.
