I don't eat red meat but I cook it well! made this recipe for my family, they all loved it. Great flavors, tasty and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds veal chunks
  • 1 - chorizo, hot (sliced)
  • 8 - potatoes, medium (halved)
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 cup port wine, red or white
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 - onions, medium (chopped)
  • 2-3 - garlic cloves (chopped or crushed)
  • 1/2 cup olives, black
  • 1 sprig thyme
  • - salt and pepper

How To Make veal stew with chorizo - sauté de veau de lisbonne

  • Step 1
    -Brown meat in a pan with olive oil for few minutes, then add chopped onions. -Add port wine and water with tomato paste. -Add the rest of the ingredients, salt and pepper. -Simmer for 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender. you can add more water if the stew turns out to be too thick.
